GradeFlow Privacy Policy
1. What GradeFlow Stores
GradeFlow primarily stores your academic data on your own device (browser storage), including classes, students, scores, attendance, settings, and backups you export.
2. Data Ownership
You own your school and student data. GradeFlow does not claim ownership of your educational records.
3. Data Transmission
By default, GradeFlow does not send your records to a backend server. If optional online services are added in future releases, they will be disclosed and controlled by clear consent settings.
4. AI Features
If you use AI comment generation, selected inputs may be sent to the AI provider API in order to generate results. Avoid entering highly sensitive personal information in AI prompts.
5. Security Practices
- Password records are stored using browser-supported cryptographic hashing.
- Session timeout protections are enabled for inactivity and max session age.
- Backup files can be encrypted with your passphrase before export.
6. Your Responsibilities
- Keep your device and browser secure.
- Create regular encrypted backups and keep your passphrase safe.
- Do not share account credentials with unauthorized users.
7. Retention and Deletion
You control local data retention. You can delete app data from settings and browser storage at any time.
